Happy Internet Day! Today, 2019-10-29, is the 50th anniversary of the first message being sent over the Internet. While working on ARPANET, a network funded by the US Defense Department, Charley Kline attempted to send the word "LOGIN" from UCLA to Bill Duvall at Stanford. The message almost worked, sending the first two letters before connection between the terminals crashed, sending only "LO", Kline was able to send the complete "LOGIN" message about an hour later.
